Extended Family Photos at Breckenridge Park | Richardson, TX

There’s something extra special about extended family photo sessions—especially when they become a tradition. This was the second year in a row photographing this wonderful family at Breckenridge Park in Richardson, TX, and it was such a joy to see everyone back together again.

Breckenridge Park is a beautiful setting for family photos. The large pond area surrounded by tree-lined paths creates a peaceful, timeless backdrop that works perfectly for both big group portraits and smaller family moments. With plenty of space to spread out, it’s an ideal location for extended families that include grandparents, siblings, and kids of all ages.

We scheduled this session around Thanksgiving, which is honestly one of the best times to book family photos. When siblings are in town, grandparents are visiting, and everyone is already together, it’s the perfect opportunity to capture multi-generational memories without extra stress.

These sessions are about more than just photos—they’re about preserving relationships and documenting a season of life that’s constantly changing. Getting to photograph the same extended family year after year is such an honor, and it’s always incredible to look back and see how much everyone has grown.
