One of the best parts of being a photographer is getting to reconnect with people I’ve met through past sessions or weddings—and this one was extra special. I met Mo and Mackenzie at a wedding I photographed last year, and I was so excited when they reached out to let me know they’re expecting their first baby!

To celebrate this huge moment, they wanted a photo session that felt personal and meaningful. So we met up in Downtown Carrollton—a place full of charm, memories, and history for them as a couple. It’s where they used to live and spend time together, so it felt like the perfect spot to announce the next chapter of their love story.

The light that evening was soft and golden, and the vibe was relaxed and joyful. We wandered through the brick-lined streets, cozy corners, and leafy spots, capturing laughter, sweet glances, and of course, that unmistakable glow of anticipation and excitement.

It’s always such an honor to be trusted with these big milestones, and even more so when it’s people I’ve gotten to watch grow through different seasons. From wedding guests to expectant parents—what a journey! Mo and Mackenzie’s energy was playful, romantic, and so authentically them. I loved every second of this pregnancy announcement session.
