Few things are more special than getting to document a family’s story from the very beginning. Earlier this year, I photographed this sweet couple’s pregnancy announcement—and now, I had the honor of joining them again in their home to capture their newest (and tiniest!) chapter.

In-home sessions are truly some of my favorites. There’s something so authentic about photographing a family in their own space—the cozy corners, the nursery they lovingly prepared, the quiet moments that happen naturally when everyone feels comfortable. These details tell a story no studio can replicate.

This in-home newborn session was full of warmth and emotion. The new parents were completely smitten, the baby slept peacefully through most of it (with a few sweet stretches and yawns, of course), and the love between them filled every frame.

As a DFW family photographer, I always encourage new parents to consider in-home sessions for newborn photos. They’re relaxed, meaningful, and beautifully personal—no need to pack up or rush out the door. It’s all about preserving those first few weeks of connection and wonder, right where your story begins.
